In 1988, I rode a penny farthing around Australia & Tasmania.
My idea then was to take a stationary exercise bike on the ship to Tassie, place it on the deck and then when the boat left Melbourne, my intention was to start pedalling throughout the overnight trip, for fun quoting, "I have ridden across Bass Strait". Bridging the mainland with Tasmania,
Well, that did not happen, always thinking 'maybe one day".
When I saw a waterbike, it rekindled my desire. I rode it and knew it was the one to succeed. This venture is not a 12 hour dark pedal, but now a 375km achievement for Schiller Waterbike and a well considered human possibility.
