Day 66

Sunrise on Mt Warning (Near Byron Bay).

We celebrated Phil's 72nd birthday by climbing Mt Warning, the dramatic wedge shaped mountain high enough to be hit with the first rays of sunlight as it comes over the mainland of Australia.

We were up at 3.30 and started climbing at 4.15 and reached the top just before sunrise to feel the warmth on our cold bodies.

With breakfast and a few cards and pressies and 360 degree views it was a fabulous experience for us both.

We stayed at the top for over an hour enjoying the best of nature. Followed by phone calls and texts from family and friends - a day to remember...
